Our Programs

Nurture Cultivate Inc was established in 2021.
But the founder and future Nurture Cultivate Hawaiʻi team had already been volunteering and working with nonprofits many years before.
Mahealani Keo, founder and CEO, Kanaka maoli, Samoan, and of other ethnic ancestry, was born and raised in the small town of Hauʻula, and left to spread her wings. She never forgot the lessons of service her parents taught her. The kuleana to her parents brought her back home, and in recent years, she has dedicated her time to building several businesses and working with the Hawaii Land Trust (HILT) to protect and preserve the Maunawila Heiau Complex.
Under HILT, Mahealani has helped create and administer several work and educational programs serving youth and young adults in the Koʻolauloa area. This experience led her to want to do more, and Nurture Cultivate was born
Our Vision
Mahealani and her team dream of a hometown full of abundance. They are dedicated to hel helping, empowering, inspiring, and providing educational resources to help the people of Hawaiʻi reach their highest potential, especially the Koʻolauloa communities that are so close to their hearts.
Our Programs
Nurture Cultivate is Ola, life! Our programs Nurture and Cultivate the ʻāina, the land, and our natural resources. We Nurture and Cultivate our people, our health to promote longevity. We Nurture and Cultivate our wealth with tools to pave the path for future generations.
This is achieved through 3-pillars rooted in Hawaiian values: Ehuola, Waiola, Kahu-a-ola.

Ehuola Programs
It’s all about getting keiki excited to move, to learn and to adventure while being healthy! Getting outside, learning practices of their ancestors and feeding their bodies well!

Waiola Programs
From our Keikipreneurs Program to teaming up with Chairs For Hope to deliver wheelchairs to those in need, to our Mohala i ka Wai Summer Program, we serve keiki to kāpuna!

Kahu-a-ola
Focused on teaching the keiki to love their land and care for it for the future generations. The focus is on our culture, ʻāina, and the natural resources that provide for our community.
